WOMAN PROBLEM OPENED UP FOR DISCUSSION

A popular topic of recent times the “Woman Problem” was discussed at a symposium with participation of experts.

February 25th, 2012 / Istanbul

The symposium emphasized ‘Woman Problem’ has been deepened with system malfunctions. In addition it was also discussed that concepts with positive connotations such as “women’s rights, gender equality, and economic independence of women” are actually used as camouflage by “ruling capital” and that modern life disvalues women and all humanity with “more freedom” slogan.

The symposium discussed women’s historic adventure, when and why did “Woman Problem” started, what did we inherit from our traditions on this topic, how this issue is handled in our day, contribution of concepts such as “freedom, equality, and justice” to the issue of women, “motherhood”, difficulties and necessity of and problems caused by women’s presence in a men’s world, outlook of media to women, and such women-oriented topics in an academic and intellectual framework.
