“HOLD MY HAND?” PROJECT TO LIVE WITH SCHIZOPHRENIA (2014)

This project realized in partnership with Ministry of Interior was initiated to prevent prejudgment and discriminatory behavior towards and to address loneliness and pain felt by schizophrenia patients.

In the scope of this project, psycho-training group programs are applied with a total of six groups including patients, patient relatives and neighbors in Beylerbeyi and Sultanbeyli Community Mental Health Center districts in the region of Erenköy Mental Health and Diseases Hospital and personnel working at such centers are informed of this program.

This project made an effective contribution to understanding the importance of and raising awareness about problems, needs, and what needs to be done regarding schizophrenia.
